Owning your space with your brand
Companies are finding that using tools to communicate can be a complicated process especially medium to large companies that have various functions and responsibilities. In some cases different brand teams along with legal, quality control and other need to communicate with the same customer but since their is no integration they communicate on their own. This can sometimes lead to mixed messages to both internal and external customers. In order to improve work flow while maintaining on time delivery of critical messages cross collaboration is essential. No matter what type of communication company chooses to use they must make sure that those responsible have a clear vision and understand what other functions in the organization may be doing as well.
For many companies that use various forms of communication both externally and internally through forms such as websites, emails, polls, blogs, and RSS content management is a critical success factor. Having the business intelligence software to be able to dissect where the traffic is coming from and what they were looking for is a critical piece in order to understand if you message is landing. Especially if you are asking each brand team or department to be responsible for their own communications. What most organizations need but lack not matter the size is the ability to share, create, and manage various forms of communication seamlessly across different departments. Each Brand team must know and be able understand what channels are contributing to their overall success and what success looks like. For some this may be increase in sales, while others the increase in brand awareness and customer loyalty scores may be a driving metric. Having the ability to have a way to look at the data across multiple platforms and understand which one is helping you meet your targets and which ones may be slowing your growth can be instrumental to any business.

It’s different from waste pollution or noise pollution or any other pollution you may be more familiar with today. Light pollution is a serious problem and it only gets worse each day. Companies are looking for ways to reach customers on the web and then be able to stay connected via the web and other means of marketing. Today those words are more true than ever as companies are seeing the success of MySpace, Facebook, Youtube , and more recently Twitter. They know that in order to appeal to the younger crowds they need to play where they play. Many are not turning to TV to get their information, but rather online blogs and social communities. With the recent announcement of Twitter receiving $35 million in venture capital funding it only strengthens the fact that the way people and companies interact with each other is changing.
